Hi, I’m Lesley, NZ is home and a great place to live. For 15 years my partner and I were spoilt having the opportunity to travel and work our way around Europe satisfying my passion for all things vintage on the way.
I have collected a wonderful array of vintage treasures, often to my long-suffering partner Marcos’ sighs and smiles of acceptance.
More recently I have teamed up with a dear friend Catherine who shares my passion for French Vintage and between us we are always on the hunt for treasures.

I have always believed whether you have an ultra-modern home in the city, a Bach by the beach or a cosy villa in the country a wonderful piece of vintage can add depth and fun to your home.
So, while sitting in a French café, no not in France but in Russell in the Bay of islands NZ a plan was hatched, and a dream realised.
I invite you to take a look at our finds: – discover something to inspire and delight, call it your own. no not in France but in Russell in the Bay of islands NZ a plan was hatched, and a dream realised.
Oh, the shop name- Canard? (French for Duck). Well ducks remind me of my dad, and I just love all things French.
Dads gone now but he loved ducks and whenever I need inspiration or the courage to jump into something new a duck will cross my path reminding me dad is beside me, egging me on.

A bit mushy I know but it gives me the warm fuzzies.
