French Vintage Figurine
Plaster of Paris figurines of this character, whimsical in nature were popular in the early Art Deco period. Nowadays I have only seen them dotted around France being used a display piece in Vintage shops, haberdashers, book shops and the like.
CONDITION
In very good condition for her age, she is an old girl now. There are a few minor paint chips but it in no way detracts from this very pretty figurine which would look amazing in any girls room, from little tots right up to those of us growing gracefully older.

PROVENANCE
I would like to say that I found this gorgeous girl in a brocante in France, but alas I did not, I have always kept my eye on a few avid French collectors who themselves scour the French countryside for great finds, and it was one of these like-minded folks that came across her. I was lucky enough to spot her on their site and snapped her up, she has been well travelled as I was in the UK when I bought her, and she travelled back to NZ in my luggage.
